>>56962516Pokemon are stronger but also more sociable and easier to befriend compared to the archaic carnivores in our world due to their intelligence, so they are not necessarily at war with humans. A lot of Grugs would still die but humans are cockroaches and all it takes is a few of them sharing food with the local fauna or raising orphaned pokémon for The Method™ to develop.
There is also the possibility that archaic humans in that world had more unga-bunga powers (aura and whatnot) going on before civilization and the safety provided from it made such traits redundant. Our own ancestors were butchering giant geladas for fun so I'm sure Pokéverse humans had their strengths too.
