I've been trying to get as much use out of my shundo Venusaur as possible, but it still just doesn't been very unique. Not only is it one of the only good megas for types it's effective against so a lot of people use it, but most people use shiny Venusaur for their mega even if it's not perfect because it's either the best one they have or because they're willing to take the damage dip in favor of the shiny flex. I imagine the same will apply to Mega Garchomp since it had a Community Day and is a crazy vivid pink and purple.
Speaking of which, since you brought up other shundos, I also have a 96% shiny Steelix I'm building up as a mega, plus I have a 98% shiny Sceptile and 98% shiny Banette for when those megas get released.
