>>52850155the fact that Pokemon relationships are relatively easy to train compared to the idea of creating a human relationship, and once you do have a trusting Pokemon they tend to love you unconditionally, and they all have cool powers and can perform supernatural feats, and we're all animal lovers who like the features of animals bodies and while we may like humans the idea of trying to get with one is difficult so we instead opt for easier relationships with a creature that for all intents and purposes could very well be human as well as takes on a form entirely familiar and pleasing to us with aspects of both human and animal physiology.
