>>34833197It depends, from a mechanical standpoint hgss are superior just because theyre 10 years more recent. But a lot of the charm is from the beautiful chiptune music, simpler gen 2 gameplay, and charmingly basic old-school graphics. Hgss are probably better overall just as games, but if you want to experience it in its truest form go to the source and play gsc. Its only ten bucks anyway.
