It came to my attention that one of the Discord leakers "Gryphon" had blabbed about the ending "not having shipping in it". While I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was the case, I was naturally curious to follow up on that. After looking into Gryphon, I have an opinion on the matter. I went back and forth if I should do a whole autistic breakdown or keep it simple, but I'm genuinely not interested in talking about e-celebs and just want to break down media, so I'll be brief.
I have reason to believe that you should take what Gryphon said, and what he says from now on about MPM, with a major grain of salt. No, this doesn't mean "he's lying, Pokeshipping confirmed!" rather, this means his perspective on the subject of shipping, Misty, MPM, 4chan, spoiling the ending and trolling people are such that his statements are... unreliable. Do what you'd like (I'm not your Dad), but I think the back and forth regarding him isn't healthy for discussion, and ultimately, I don't trust him to be truthful about the rest of this show moving forward. The more I look into him, the more strongly I believe this to be the case.
Anyway... looking forward to our final batch of episodes. I'm pro-Rocket, so I hope they get a good last hurrah. Latias is a season long build up so I'm pulling for that story, and of course the final episode has my full attention.
Finally, I'm happy to say the new show has given me reason to be excited (I previously was not) mostly because of the staff allocation (especially the person in charge of series composition, seriously I haven't seen someone in a creative role with that kind of pedigree since Shudo, maybe ever.) We have all the reason in the world to be excited.
