>>55355278>>55355278Good day. My name is Franco--ha, that's F-R-A-N-C-O, there is no K--and I am the Chief Security Officer for Macro Cosmos and its subsidiaries. Alright? I am tasked each day with protecting the employees and assets of the company I work for. That means ensuring our security systems are always up-to-date at our facilities; corresponding with our executives and business associates by phone and by email; keeping our staff and faculty members well-trained in hazard safety and evacuation plans; inspecting arriving packages and deliveries for threats; preventing corporate espionage or extortion attempts; and ensuring no one is using corporate resources for their own gains. I have to admit, I don't often answer personal questions during these interviews, but... I'm feeling nostalgic today.
I was born in a small town in Paldea, built on top of a hill by the southern shore of a large, large lake. My parents were both hardworking fishermen: my father plied his trade in the northern seas while my mother fished within the lake. As for me, I spent my youth exploring the lakeshore alongside the Pawmot and Flamigo I had caught--my career as a Trainer started early! I treasured those Pokemon, really. There were two ancient stone towers built just outside of town, and my Pokemon and I climbed those towers fanatically each day to watch the sun rise over the mountains and set across the sea.
That little town is gone now. Our simple way of life proved... uncompetitive, and the town's people dispersed towards larger cities or other regions for work. All these years later, the only proof that town ever existed is a few piles of bricks. And yet... those ancient towers are still standing! They were here before that town was built and they endure long after my home faded away to nothing. That means something to me. There is power in history, and we would do well to learn from those who came before if we mean to build a better future for those who follow after us.
