Unironically Gen 8. They took away the very thing that I liked and appreciated about the series regardless of how low the quality gets: the National Dex. Being able to use my favorites in every new game was great, and I've even collected ribbons for them as mementos for all the fun times I've had with them. Now, I have wait 5 years to play with my favorite pokemon in a Switch game as it rots away in a online subscription service with zero interactivity available. And the worst part is that there is no trade-off for this change. The quality of these games still gets worse and worse, with the latest games being buggy and laggy enough to compete with Sonic 06. Oh but if you dare cry about it, you're a toxic ungrateful fan and you will be dogpiled by all of the "true" Pokemon fans.
>Oh well, your stupid shitmon deserves to get cut.
>Well, it's coming back. You should be grateful, now!
They'll say anything to worship a company that doesn't even know them, let alone care about them in any way. And it started with Gen 8, since SwSh was rewarded for it's polarizing decision with over 20 million sales.
