>>35382063Well, Robin Hood actually is kind of a shit head when you look at the big picture and from the entire story's narrative. The people were being taxed into poverty not because of King John's greed but because Richard the Lionhearted was captured by pirates and they needed to sell everything that wasn't nailed down to pay the ransom, the Sheriff was just being an ass about it. People conveniently forget about that bit about Richard getting captured on the way home form the crusades. Again, Robin Hood looks like the good guy, but that's because their society is being corrupted by outside forces, namely the lawless pirates. If anything, Robin Hood is making life harder for Richard the Lionhearted because now it's going to take longer to pay his ransom. Sure Robin Hood is nice, but good isn't always nice and evil isn't always mean.
