>>40796800recently i came under the realization that i've been holding a double standard in terms of criticism for Pokemon because i love it so much. i've been catching up on FE and DQ, and i was talking with my boyfriend how much i love that they've stayed true to their roots in gameplay and haven't changed much in the many years they've around, even making call backs to their beginnings with cameos or mentions of their older characters. and that's pretty much when it hit me that Pokemon's in the same boat as those two franchises, and here i am criticizing Pokemon for doing the same thing that i've been enjoying in other game franchises that i'm not nearly as attached to.
