The new region takes inspiration from France and the gimmick is a type of special temporary in battle evolution called "Super Evolution".

Oh right, this is important, there's a new Pokemon type being introduced with the new game. It's called the Fairy type. I'm actually not joking. There will be a lot of Pokemon that get retconned into being this new type, like Ludicolo, Charizard, and Hitmonlee to name a few. Fairy type Pokemon are non effective against Dragon types, but are super effective against Poison and Steel types. They take super effective damage from Dark and Bug types.
The bad guy team is known as Team Solar, and they are trying to use the box legends to create an ancient Giga Drill to drill down to the Earth's core and their leader is pretty much Lion Hitler who thinks people are too beautiful and need to die. The creator of the Giga Drill is over 2000 years old, and he's been shrinking as the years go by, when you meet him, he is only 2 inches tall.
Oh and there's an NPC named Ace Maniac, and fans will HATE her because she is constantly everywhere trying to steal your items, specifically Moo Moo Milk.
There will not be a third version of this game until 12 years from now for a completely different system.
