To put it in simple terms and to explain why this rumor is so popular: Cubone and Kangaskhan are in the Egg Monster family. Marrowack, Kangaskan, Tyranitar, and Aggron all specifically though share their own family of "up-right, Therapod monster" Pokemon. It's all in the Egg groups. Snorlax and Lickitung are ALSO in the Monster egg group, but they are more closely related to one another than they are to the "other" pokemon in their egg group.
