I was in the fourth grade and I met this kid who was super into pokemon. I had friends who liked the show or casual played the games but no one like this he knew way more then I did at the time. I'd go over to his house all the time to link battle and he would sweep my team because I just used rare candies and didn't pay attention to EVs IVs. Turns out his brothers and whole group of friends did comparative stuff. The even whent to regionals a few times. He was a good friend all around and when I had to move a year later he gave me a parting gift. Pic related, one of my favorite pokemon and he got me a legit one. I have had it on all my games from Emerald to Sun. I had my emerald save wiped right before Diamond and Pearl came out but luckily I had it on my gamecube at the time. I also got a shiny Voltorb around the same time. A different friend had found it on his Ruby but he only had one dive ball and a bunch of lv60+ pokemon aside from the Castform you get at the weather institute that he just pulled out of the pc. I had to use all the cell phone minutes I had for the month on walking him through how to widdle it's health down enough to try catching it. Sadly it didn't survive the pokecaust like Celebi did. I tried to make one like it in pokesav back when that was a thing but it's just not the same.
