>>56135478Yea they definitely all suck, but my point is that it's surprisingly low effort. They even got rid of the poles for the gyms that changed color depend on the team (or if they had them I didn't find them). .
They rake in a shit ton of money for this game, and it takes absolutely no money to develop this game. So they can't even be bothered to dress up the island that they rent out? Even the march is overpriced, which makes sense, but not when one zone is literally just a rainbow arch and some blow up toys.
Plus things like there being a line around the park just for a tiny ass water station. No AC tents. No in game exclusive or fun events, just more research fetch quests, and some mons with special backgrounds. No special food items. No costumed characters. No panels. The "battle arena" is literally mats on the floor.
It is also surprisingly anti social. I think part of that is the culture of NYC, but yea people just keep to them selves, and just look at their phone.
The thing is though, it's hard to even do things with the people you go with, because the event runs from 9am to 7pm, and the city is expensive as shi and a pain to get around. It's not even like there are places that are endorsed by Pogo as meet up spots or anything, they literally just tell you to walk around the city.
>>56135488>>56135494I saw about 100,000 sad fat white guys there so you might have to narrow it down more lol
But also yea, they tried to make the island "one way", which was just brutal because everyone is looking at their phones walking super slow in 100 degree weather, and you get stuck going one way. So if you wanted/needed to do something on the other part of the island you're fucked.
Also, the trick with the march tent is to go at the end of the day. I literally walked in with my friend, no line. IT was just overpriced plushies and hoodies.
They were also trying to push 25 dollar GO FEST 2023 shirts, which was funny
