Freeze never fucking works in my favor. I've managed to freeze opponents at least 3 times on Battle Spot so far, and they thaw out the very next turn without using any Fire move or Scald. The best thing that's happened was a close battle against some guy who after freezing his last Pokemon probably just gave up and clicked Quick Attack instead of the other move that would finish off my last Pokemon. It thawed out, Quick Attack'ed for miniscule damage and was finished off by my attack.
