>>56091512>>56091551I applaud you for doing all of these. I'm not going to comment on every single one because some of these changes I feel just slightly change the move and don't do much or go a little too far, but here are some I wanted to comment on
>DoubeslapI get what you were doing making it Fairy, and you're not the first person to suggest that, but I think thematically it doesn't make sense changing types. The idea is that you're slapping the target "back and forth" (the Japanese name is just "Back and Forth Slap"), so maybe we change it to ALWAYS hit so many times? Keep it at 15BP but now it is guaranteed to hit 6x, making it deal quite a bit more damage spread out across multiple hits. This now also makes it an interesting utility move in a way because you could then use it similarly to how Beat Up is sometimes used on an ally to give them the +6 boost to a stat if they have an ability that gets activated. Pairing Double Slap Clefable with Weak Armor Crustle or Cotton Down Eldegoss seem gimmicky as hell but could be interesting.
>Comet PunchThis doesn't do enough to differentiate it from Arm Thrust, since it just makes Arm Thrust the clearly inferior choice now if Comet Punch jumps to 25BP (and gets to abuse Iron Fist) while Arm Thrust stays at 15BP. I would diversify them further by then going and letting Arm Thrust hit up to 10x like Population Bomb. I think this makes sense because it's based on the sumo move where you rapidly punch out your palms like E. Honda in Street Fighter, so wtf not.
>CutLove this chance. How about it also removes Grassy Terrain??
>Slam Considering they've hung onto this move this long without deleting it, it needs a buff. I like the idea of it being the slightly riskier physical Normal move in a post-Return world. Compared to the more reliable Body Slam, Slam would hit harder but have a greater chance of missing. I would probably also add a secondary effect to make it enticing, maybe a Defense drop?
