I watched the Bilbao and Indianapolis day 1 streams on Saturday and both combined lasted nearly the entire day (from 8 am UTC till midnight). Then you also had the top cut happening the next day. Very few people have the time/stamina to sit in front of their TVs all weekend.
The EUIC stream which was like 2 weeks ago had no competing events and gathered something like 20k viewers. It helped that the top 8 was hype, especially the finals.
