Idk, they'd have to come up with a really good reason for me, personally, to be down him suddenly talking, or at least do so in a way that isn't dramatically jarring.
His not speaking all the time is part of why I like him so much, I can relate to him since I'm selectively mute as well.
His actions speak for him and I think that's neat, and then of course all the "his silence reflects his role as the protag insert" stuff which we've been over before.
