I've been a Fightingfag since I was a kiddo. I like so many mons of that type, even the more unpopular ones, and I really love it conceptually. Most types tend to be on the magical side, like Fire and Fairy and Dark. But Fighting is just straight up martial arts and beating the crap out of mons. Nothing fancy or pretentious, it's simple and straight to the point. It also gives plenty of potential for basing mons on all kinds of fighting styles. You got traditional stuff like karate and boxing and swordfighting, and you also got more unusual ones like street fighting and Mexican wrestling.
Oh and it is also great in battles. High Attack and good type coverage and stuff.
