Doing what they did has basically made the game completely unplayable if you don't want to just blindly comb the streets of your neighborhood.
The ONLY way to even find anything now is to use a third-party scanner, so if anything they're just encouraging more people to do exactly what they don't want BUT OH WHOOPS they fucked that up too by making raremons randomly transform into shitmons (or vice versa) because you might've cheated to find it.
