The idea stems from how retarded I found people discussing "river/sea" "saltwater/clear water" type splits. Those are only locations.
This type, which could also be called Abyss (I find that has a nicer ring to it), would be much broader.
Out of the top of my head I think the clampert family, relicant and maybe Reuniclus as the mysterious liquid around it has psychic enhancing properties and is poisonous to others.
Beeheeyem would fit too but it's a tight squeeze. Absol wouldn't fit unless it were to get an evo that has to do with pressure and void. Cataclysms are Dark type but not abyss because they cause misfortune. Abyss would be more like...eldritch shit
