If anything the last couple metas have shown it's that people don't like to think, self-lobotomizing at the thought of Lapras or M2Y no longer able to scale the map doing fuckall whatever & never engaging because they could just do it all anyway.
I'm glad YOU can make Pult work, but for someone who may not want to put in that discipline a Defender would make slightly more of an impact consistently/end up dead weight less often.
