Gen V will always have a special place in my heart because it was the Gen that brought me back to Pokemon. And now I enjoy it more than ever.
It gave the feeling it was starting anew, it had a lot of great mons (Krookodile, Chandelure, Galvantula anyone?), it attempted to present a more intricate story (and it succeeded, in my opinion), it had so far the most interesting (read: fappable) characters and the gameplay was so much fun.
Of course it did have its flaws, but its positives far outweighed the negatives. All in all, it was the most enjoayble Gen so far.
I'm sure Unova will be remembered. I, for one, will do.
