Why postgame is unessesary and all content should be in the main storu

Post game is unessesary as literally everything should be in the main story. I have never seen another franchise lock ingame content behind the final boss. I don’t know if it is an rpg thing as I am used to action adventure, fighting, and FPS games that end after the final boss (except maybe in newer games you might unlock like a sound test or a boss rush mode). After beating the final boss, my first instinct is to either drop the game or start a new game. Johto is the worst offender as kanto was lame and red should’ve been the final boss of johto. How it could’ve been done is Lance tells you he is not the actual champion and you have to climb MT.Silver and after doing legit “””””””grinding””””””” on your “”””””””GBC””””””destroy red. Gen 5 is also a pretty bad offender as way too many areas were blocked off. BW2 made it worse. Example, it would’ve been awsome if you could go to eastern unova and challenge 3 new gyms, but game freak even back then had the wrath of crunch, which kills video game franchises. The only thing i could understand being locked is maybe legendaries too overpowered for the main story. One other thing, soul is overrated.
