They can't play normal pokemon drunk and high with "friends". GO is just braindead enough for them to play it in their spare time: walking to get beer, or to some social event. Now that they have GO on console, with easy mode co-op, they can take all the drugs they want and still stomp through the game with no challenge at all and no risk of failure.
