In fact, it already can. I don't see what Game Freak is playing at, the Switch is able to output high quality textures, just look at any other Nintendo game. Hell, even fucking Skyrim and Dark Souls are on the Switch, and all we got was something that looked like a mobile game. If Game Freak's mentality is to just produce sub-par content in terms of gameplay and graphics, I don't have much hope for gen 8.
