I just recently broke up my boyfriend, and he didn't give a fuck about Pokemon. I asked him one time to battle me on showdown, just in randbats, and he started saying stuff like "oh man don't worry about me I've played ALL the games trust me I know my stuff!!!" and then proceeded to be terrible. He legitimately thought fighting was super effective against psychic and stuff.
His flatmate was really into the competitive scene though, we always bounced strats off each other and talked about the new megas when they were released. My bf would joke, like "Oh so you're gonna drop me and date him now? xDDD"
Shit now I just feel terrible for breaking up with him I miss him ;_;
