I feel like if I lived in the Pokemon world from birth, though, I probably would have gotten into the battling scene a little bit as a kid. IRL I wanted to be a wildlife biologist from an absurdly young age (and followed through), so I probably would have done alright in a few tournaments, gotten btfo eventually and dropped out of battling to go for Pokescience. Team would probably be something along the lines of Staraptor, Kadabra, Mismagius, and Ninetales. I feel like there's a lot more Pokemon I'd like to have, but caring for Pokemon when you're not a career battler seems like it would be a huge hassle.
