Personally i started watching the Anime when i was at least 5 years old. The Kanto and Johto seasons were my childhood. I started growing out of Pokemon when Hoenn was airing but i still watched one or two episodes every now and then but when most of my friends started playing the Vidya, i bought my first Pokemon game with was Diamond and started watching the Anime again when it was in Sinnoh. I stopped playing the games after Platinum but i not regret having watched DP because it ended up being pretty damn enjoyable and the conclusion was amazing. After that i sticked with BW for 15 episodes hoping for it to be as good as DP but never happened so i dropped it. Then i heard Ash finally had a girl who liked him in XY but got bored after 13 episodes. Came back to see his defeat in the League but nothing else. For me the Pokemon Anime ended with OS-DP because it actually felt like one single story with a lot of continuity and more.
