If you're saying that we can't see Pokemon actively being hunted to be eaten, you're kind of right, but even the anime sanitizes it so that if a wild Pokemon attacks another, it's for simple reasons like it encroaching on claimed territory or the aggressor just being in a bad mood, but the point still stands that a food chain exists in Pokemon, and games like Pokemon Snap 2, a spinoff which hypothetically should be subject to these rules, even deliberately show Pokemon hunting multiple times, the first example being pic related and the second being a Corsola getting ganged up by a Mareanie hoard.
