I mean, for the past 15 years or so, bar one exclusion, we have only had Fire starters based on or incorporating fighting and fighting styles. That's ridiculous and unnecessary homogeny. We have over 700 Pokémon but more than half of our fire starters are based on fighters. All I'm saying is that there are tons of varied concepts and choices they could go for in a fire starter but they've been completely adamant about making them all the same despite it.
