>What's new?I finally got art commissions going. I've got two people working on art for the lewd scenes with Cynthia and Jasmine, another guy who's just drawing me one specific sprite (and more if I like the finished prodct), a dude who emailed me and basically volunteered to sketch random shit for me for free (???) and an artist who's wants to draw pokemon art but who I'm not sure if I can afford. Also a bunch of spam and obviously stolen art put up onto instagram with people claiming it's theirs. This is what I get for asking for art commissions on
reddit. But those first two artists are 100% legit, they draw art for the Dawn VN.
While I'm waiting on art, I made some edits for Jasmine, Kate, Cynthia, and other character's faces so they could have a few different facial expressions instead of just staring blankly at the player all the time. Also they can look to the side so it actually looks like the characters are talking to each other. Cynthia looks kind of weird because she only has one eye. I need to fix her face. Jasmine is goddamn adorable though. Putting the new faces/expressions into the right places in the game took forever but it's worth it.
The next version will be released when I have art for the new Jasmine lewd scene ready to go. Hopefully I'll also have the art for Cynthia's lewd scenes to replace the stolen art I'm currently using. I do kind of wish I'd had artists start on art waaaaay earlier, but I didn't know what art I was going to need until I'd written most of the VN. Chalk that up to the hazard of being a one-man dev team with no real budget...
