>>41323660>>41323827As someone who started playing competitive on mIRC bots in late Gen 2 / early Gen 3 and is a nostalgiafag, I understand and agree to some extent. From Gen 4 onwards things changed A LOT and never were like before. Gen 3 and 2 you could practically use any Pokémon you wanted. However, the competitive scene was extremely amateur.
But anyway, I've seen some eally intense and literally breathtaking fights on Gen 5 so I don't exactly agree with saying things were ruined. Stopped playing on Gen 6.
