>>20519671Exactly. Ice wasn't buffed with resistances, and so many Ice types are built defensively, so theres no reason to go for STAB Ice if one of the many offensive based Waters mons can utilize Ice better and for longer because they wont be one-shotted.
Ice at least only needs around 2 more decent resistances and for the distribution of Ice moves to be drastically reduced.
Its like GF decided that instead of fixing a boat with a motor, a stronger hull and some decent navigation equipment, they invented the Hovercraft and promoted it as the best way to traverse the seas (despite it being better at land travel)
