>>40729004>Could she actually just change people's memories or feelings if she wanted?I made a somewhat joking post in the Ralts Line thread yesterday about how Gardevoir shapes your impulses and desires to be closer to what she wants in order to make you easier to 'guide' and thus keep safe. I intentionally described it to be somewhat sinister for comedic effect but in truth I think this could happen and does in the story. Again, not out of malevolance, but out of a desire to maximize the psychic connection and protect the trainer from their own negative impulses and emotions (if they have them). As well, your Gardevoir conditioning your emotions would likely be just an unintentional side effect of her basic psychic nature. She shares in your emotions and she in yours, and she wants to avoid negatives even more than you do since she feels them more accutely, and thus as she reflexively recoils from anything negative you will start to do so too, subconsciously. It's just how the human brain learns. So your personality and behavior will gradually alter until you and her (or he, I GUESS), reach a point of equilibrium or shared identity.
