I haven't finished a single Pokemon game since BW because new features were not good enough to make me turn a blind eye on all the cool stuff we lost in the transition to 3D.
Surprisingly I have a lot of fun with SV despite not being able to even reach the first gym in SwSh. That makes me consider picking PL:A to give it a chance.
Would you consider the game worth picking now that you can compare it with SwSh and SV?
