The real problem with most gay people is that they make being gay their most defining personal trait. I don't hate gay people, I just hate them forcing me to acknowledge that they are gay. Can't I just call you "people" and be done with it? Because blocking city traffic to hold a parade with a bunch of kooks in tasteless, raunchy garb just so that we are all aware that they take it in the ass is not the way to get anybody to take you seriously.
