Sun and Moon however were wholeheartedly designed around it. I did 4 playthroughs of gen 7 in all, used exp share twice and no exp share twice. I felt at a good level with exp share on. The only thing that changed when I had exp share off was that I was like 5-8 levels behind and had to grind up.
This literally isn't as big a problem as dexitards would have you believe though they aren't wrong that it should have been optional.
