New pokemon are all minmaxed comp slop and offer less required strategy compare to older gens (eg: ultra beasts that are created solely for a single purpose that all have the same cookie cutter build compared to early gens where you were forced to run both physical and special attacks due to lack of moves). Like the saying goes: limitations breed creativity.
