>>32222824>22 years old>Gen 1 and 2 had good designs with only a few bad designs. Aside from legendaries and a couple mons, they had an animalistic design and color theme matching natural details.>Gen 3 designs became too detailed oriented, and strayed away from natural design, and focused on becoming more "monster" like. The color schemes became more vibrant too.>Gen 4 felt like they went back to animalistic designs while maintaining vibrant color schemes, without going over the line (aside from legendaries.)>Gen 5 as a whole is aesthetically shit. Battle animations, overworld sprites, and Pokemon designs were utter garbage, with a handful of disgustingly designed pokemon. Worst gen when determining 'design'. Although, I think this gen has a couple cool mons in the franchise, despite the sea of fucking shit Pokemon that is the Unova Dex.>Gen 6 is a pretty solid gen. Most Pokemon reminded me of the Gen 1 & 2 designs. Fairy type had a nice group of mons for its debut, and I can't really think of a Pokemon I honestly hate from this gen.>Gen 7 I don't have a solid opinion on. I think the Pokemon are okay, I only have a problem with a few Pokemon designs. It feel like colors went back to gen3/5 contrasts. I dropped the game after Mallow's Trial so that is all I have to say about this gen.tl;dr Pokemon designs went from natural and animalistic designs with earthly color schemes (Gen 1&2). Pokemon became more "toy-like" with vibrant colors and less animal, but more monster -like. (Gen3). Gen 4 was a mixture of these two. Gen 5 was a mistake. Gen 6 was more akin to Gen 1&2 with a dash of Gen 4. I don't care about gen 7.
