>>39335166Stop being dramatic, I was the exact same as you, I remember getting Pokemon Yellow after being too poor to get it new and having to watch all my friends play it and going "OMG, THE GRAPHICS LOOK REAL" when I saw Pikachu in color, playing the fuck out of it, and spending my early teens going to events and getting games on release day. Pokemon has been there for every single step of my life and I will literally always love, adore and treasure it, BUT I ventured out. It was scary but I took a chance and played Disgaea 1 on my DS and INSTANTLY fell in love, now Pokemon is tertiary for me (Splatoon is another new love of mine) and I have no problems skipping these games and calling GF out on their shit. Pokemon can be SO SO SOOOO much better than it is right now and you know it.
It's okay to still love Pokemon, it's a huge series. Just because you don't want to support the games anymore doesn't mean you have to stop loving it. Get into the anime, the TCG, or get really into PMD and make OCs and shit. There's almost limitless ways to enjoy Pokemon and none of them require you giving any money to Gamefreak.
But I super recommend just..starting fresh and getting into a new series, please trust me when I say finding a new series to love with devs that treat you with respect is a million times better than PLEADING with Gamefreak to stop being so fucking awful toward the people that made them who they are today.
