Because comicbook stores usually run by fat neckbeard autists (so bsically a /vp/ but irl) that put shitty prices.
So...yeah i bought 4 top loaders and paid 4 dollars. 1$ for 1 toploader..and those were USED toploaders full of scratches.
But i see that you can buy a whole box of NEW toploaders (picrel) for 7-8 dollars...what the fuck.
Im new to this hobby and was just impatient and opened boosters and got some rare pikachu Vs so i wanted to protect them right now and went to the comic store i found in google maps.
PS:
They also had a trainer box for 70$...same box tha you can buy on amazon for 40$.
From now on i will always have a toploader and couple of sleeves in my bag just in case.
(i know 4$ is not that much and not that much of a scam..but still... their price was obviously not correct. You can buy either 7 toploaders from that store or buy a whole box of 25 toploaders for 7$ from Amazon)
