>>55961698Just completed XY so my memory's fresh and you're right, the story and leaders were all were very forgettable and they just hung out in their gyms except for the Lucario skater chick and VERY briefly the last ice leader. If I recall correctly at least a couple of leaders or champions would engage a bit in the story in most other games. Also lmao didn't realize their aces would be able to mega, don't think I ever once got to see their megas (except in the mega tutorial fight) due to being able to one hit KO everything.
Also the "plot" with AZ and Lysandre was crammed in the end toward the last gym, we only got to encounter each of them briefly ONCE before that. A shame since I think AZ reuniting with his Floette would have been such a powerful moment if we were able to speak with him more.
