Why doesn't the anime flesh out James more? He's genuinely a great trainer who cares a lot about his Pokemon, but yet the anime is usually too afraid to bring this side of him out anymore. I'd like to see some arc where he actually plays the good guy, while Ash/and or someone else is actually the one in the wrong.
