Why not use a pokemon that's more apt at sweeping than a Ninetails would be? If you use WObbufett as set up bait for encore trapping, then pick a better Pokemon for sweeping.
What does Gardevoir bring to your team? Vanilla Gardevoir at that.
It's not just about "Wow, you don't use OU, you're shit." There's a reason people laugh when people use weak Pokemon. There are better choices that can be used and be far more efficient for your team as a whole.
How much different do you think it could have been if instead of Ninetails getting that double Nasty Plot it was on someone like Lucario who could then proceed to spam Vacuum wave with no worry for being outsped.
Or a double danced Mega Charizard X that could have swept any and all of his remaining Pokemon.
