What's already been said here basically. The concept, as I'm a big fan of creature companion mechanics(I was a Hunter when I used to play WoW). The sense of exploration(if onlt GF could make it less linear though). Meeting new Pokemon, and since I've never falled into the autistic "they're running out of ideas/Pokemon don't look like Pokemon any more" complaint, I know there will be tons of new Pokemon I'll like and want to catch and use on my team.
