It's totally unmemorable, and whilst its design isn't BAD it's at least as stupid as Garchomp. This is a franchise about monsters for kids, not potential real-world species for astrophysicists.
Garchomp's colour scheme reminds me of this: Gundam Mk.II. It's one of the most popular Gundams in history despite basically being a repaint of the original and is widely accepted as one of the coolest possible paint schemes a Mobile Suit can have. That alone prove Garchomp's colour distribution is inspired and not random.
