I like to SR for legendary shinies on my old DS when I'm just watching TV or doing something else not particularly involving. I've actually been able to get a small handful of them this way.
Anyways:

>SRing for about three weeks now
>Finally, look over, HOLY SHIT SHINY
>Get him down to 1 HP, paralyze, 6x Sp. Def. boost, all set
>Throw a good 30+ Premier Balls at him
>Suddenly he starts getting Critical Hits
>Critical Hits ignore opponents' defensive stat boosts, so they end up being OHKOs on my party with his fucking Calm Mind trickery
>Spend the rest of the battle re-setting up so I can survive long enough just to throw another ball.
>Critical Hit comes in again and fucks everything up
>This happens 2 or 3 more times
>Azelf used Stuggle!
>Azelf fainted!
And the worst part is, I realized if I had just thought to bring a Dark type Pokemon I could have avoided this.
