>>52369533I was thinking on that hierarchy of "cool" types, like how Lugia became Psychic/Flying only because it felt powerful. Gaining something like Flying or Dragon is always cool, but how do you make it feel impressive to gain the *Grass* type?
My concept: Magical Girl, specifically Precure.
>A Fighting type with mediocre stats (best is HP, lowest is SpAtk), and Normalize as its only ability.>Moveset includes Flower Shield, Grass Pledge, High Jump Kick, Petal Blizzard, Power-Up Punch, Quiver Dance, Solar Beam>Gets a unique held item with the effect "If held by this mon, it changes forme in any turn where it uses a Bug- or Fairy-type move">Going from Bud Forme to Blossoming Forme, it manifests a dress of flower petals. Its stats don't change but it becomes Fighting/Grass and gets a broken ability - Strength of Heart: "The Pokémon’s moves use the higher of Atk and SpAtk to calculate attack power. Super-effective moves also lower the foe’s highest stat by 1 stage."Gets Grass Pledge rather than Energy Ball, to encourage teaming it up with a Fighting/Water counterpart in double battles (same stats but swapping physical/special).
