At the same point in the series XY /padt/ was just after the Korrina gym which meant a lot of discussion going on and numerous people joining the hype train. There is too little World Championship fights, episodes with wasted potential (Mewtwo, Galar arc) and too many pointless fillers which make any resemblance of a hype die out quickly. The nanobudget they spend on the animations, especially during battles does nto help either, paired with too little music tracks, many of which not fitting the scenes they are used in at all. Do not get me wrong, I want to enjoy this series and I like it more than SM but we need more episodes like the hatching of Riolu and less like the eating contest.
