Just because a ton of them are probably lost to time/have never been published doesnt mean they dont exist. and you really expect me to believe that they didnt have drawings in the office of WHAT they wanted the pokemon to look like before making sprites? isnt pikachu itself a second-pass design that sugimori did over what some female intern did?
